Partners in healing the whole person

LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA is a 12 evidence-based program that helps adult cancer survivors reclaim their health and well-being following a cancer diagnosis. The YMCA creates a welcoming community in which survivors can improve their strength and physical fitness, diminish the severity if therapy side effects, develop supportive relationships, and improve their quality of life.

The River Valley Regional YMCA offers LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA at four of its five branch locations at no cost to the survivor or their family. This is why we need your help.

Planned Gifts to the YMCA are about planning for the future.

As a friend of the Y, we know that you share our hopes that the River Valley Regional YMCA will continue to be a strong, positive force in our community for generations to come. A gift to the Y’s Endowment Fund ensures your personal legacy to support the Y’s mission. A gift to the Endowment Fund is the greats confirmation of the YMCA mission that a friend of the Y can show and makes you a member of the River Valley Regional YMCA’s Heritage Club.

WHAT IS ENDOWMENT GIVING?

Endowment giving is a method of donating to the RVR YMCA investment fund. This fund is invested to earn annual income and as the principle grows, so does the income. A portion of the growth income is then used to support the work of the YMCA, while the principle always remains intact and invested – in order to perpetuate the fund.

WHY DO THE BRANCHES OF THE RIVER VALLEY REGIONAL YMCA EACH NEED AN ENDOWMENT FUND?

Endowment funds are a reliable and ongoing source of support for the YMCA – helps build a stable foundation to build the Y’s future on.

WAYS TO GIVE

Outright Gift– you can make a gift of cash, securities, real-estate and personal property, to the Y’s Endowment fund at any time.

Planned Gift - including life insurance policies where the Y is named as a beneficiary. Charitable  Remainder Trusts, Gift Annuities/Life  Income Contracts, or Charitable Lead.

Bequest - With the help of an advisor, you can include language in your Will or Trust specifying a gift be made to family, friends, or the River Valley Regional YMCA as part of your Estate Plan. Bequests can also be made through The First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania as the Y has dedicated funds at the foundation. Donors can specify their Bequest gift to the RVR YMCA.

Preserving the YMCA’s heritage for future generations.

The Heritage Club is a very special group of people who have chosen to have a lasting impact on the River Valley Regional YMCA, by generously making or planning future gifts to the YMCA’s Endowment Fund.

The Heritage Club meets annually to enjoy the fellowship of new and old members, find inspiration in the YMCA’s work and to receive updates on programs and services assisted through the Endowment Funds. Heritage Club members also benefit by knowing their legacy will continue through programs and services that are important to them and future generations will be positively impacted.
