POOL RESTORATION CAMPAIGN:
A pool is so much more than just a place to swim. A community pool, like the YMCA’s, is integral to community health, safety, quality and inclusion. Swimming and aquatics classes enable all individuals, including those with limited mobility, the ability to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.
The pool restoration project is a $1.3 million dollar repair and refurbishment venture aiming to restore the pool facility to working order with improved safety, accessibility and user satisfaction.
This multi phase project will start with replacing the pool pak, which is a necessary component that controls pool temperature and atmosphere humidity. Without this the pool cannot reopen. Other phases will include energy efficient lighting, easier access from locker rooms, sauna upgrade, new accessibility lift, and a general refurbishment of pool facilities!
We need your help to bring the Lock Haven Branch YMCA pool back to our community.
