POOL RESTORATION CAMPAIGN:

A pool is so much more than just a place to swim. A community pool, like the YMCA’s, is integral to community health, safety, quality and inclusion. Swimming and aquatics classes enable all individuals, including those with limited mobility, the ability to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.

*** Thank you to the following Tier 1 donors: Clinton County, Clinton County Community Foundation, City of Lock Haven, Sons & Daughters of Italy, Inc., Wayne Township Landfill, Poorman & Group, and to all of our additional sponsors.

The pool restoration project is a $880,000 dollar repair and refurbishment venture aiming to restore the pool facility to working order with improved safety, accessibility and user satisfaction.

COMPLETE!

TIER 1 – THE ESSENTIAL PHASE $280,000

We will replace the 30+-year-old HVAC unit,
which is broken beyond repair, with an
eco-sensitive Pool Pak system of next-
generation technology that will provide consistent
and economic performance for the next decades.
Without this, we cannot reopen the pool.

TIER 2– THE PRIVACY PHASE $260,000

We will reconfigure the entire women’s locker area,
move the egress, build individual shower stalls with
private changing areas, and add an additional stall
in the men’s locker room. Lastly, we will continue any
repairs, tiling, and painting and install water-saving
 fixtures and energy-efficient lighting.

TIER 3– THE CONVENIENCE PHASE $340,000

We will bring natural light to the pool area through
the installation of exterior transom windows and
add an electronic lift to provide easy pool-access for
all mobility-impaired swimmers or physical therapy
patients. In addition, we will install a modern,
energy-efficient coed sauna in the wet area and
convert the former sauna space into a physical
 therapy center.
