Open Climbing

The Y is offering open climbing time at the rock wall this fall! We will have our rock wall attendants available to asisst families with the process. You can boulder or top rope, we have the equipment available to do both! Anyone who wants to climb will have to sign a waiver (or have a parent/guardian sign a waiver if under the age of 18+). We will have waivers at the rock wall, but they are linked below if you want to fill it out ahead of time and bring it with you!

Open climbing will take place on Fridays starting in October. Check back for details!

We are offering summer packags for open climbing: Purchase a package for all 5 sessions at a discounted rate!

There are rock wall day passes available as well if you just want to show up and climb day of. Both options require in-house purchase.

 Waiver

Climbing Team

Rock climbing can be a lifelong sport, and that’s how we approach coaching the kids on the Y teams. We offer 3 teams, separated by age to offer developmentally appropriate programming to each group. The Teams are Teen Team (13+), A-Team (9-12), and B-Team (6-8). 

All teams welcome a mixture of ability levels from beginner to advance.  Coaches’ break the teams into groups to give more directed, individual or small group attention on skills. Major focuses for all teams are:

  • to help kids learn specific rock climbing techniques,
  • build strength and increase balance,
  • understand and improve body mind connection and
  • have fun!

The kids will have the option to compete in competitions if they wish. If not, we also offer opportunities to climb outside at the local crags. 

Fall Registration is open. As long as there is space, the team takes rolling enrollment throughout the season.

Participants must fill out a registration form, as well as pay for the first session, before their space is reserved.

Progressive Gymnastics

This program is for ages 6+ and is broken into 3 levels based on skill/experience. Any new participants will start in Level 1. As students progress in their abilities, they will move through levels 2 and 3, per instructor recommendation. Students who progress through level 3 and want to continue with gymnastics, can look at joining the compeitive team. All levels get expereince using the vualt, bars, beam and floor. 

Registration for fall session 2 opens October 12th for members and October 19t for non-members. Sessions last 1.25 hours with Pro 1 starting at 4p and Pro 2&3 starting at 5:15p. Practice starts October 26th! The week of Thanksgiving will be off. Participants must fill out a registration form, as well as pay for the first session, before their space is reserved. SPACE IS LIMITED!

Tot Tumbling

This program is for ages 3-5 and introduces them to the basics of gymnastics. They'll learn how to point their toes, engage their core, back bend, backward roll, and toes to bar. Our instructors intoduce the participants to all types of gymnastics equipment: vault, bars, beam, and floor. As the gymnasts progress through the practices, they may advance to the progressive classes per our instructors recommendation. 

Registration for fall session 2 opens October 12th for members and October 19t for non-members.  This session runs from October 26th through December 9th. Classes last 45mins from 3:15-4p. Practice starts October 26th or 28th depending on their session. Participants must fill out a registration form, as well as pay for the first session, before their space is reserved. SPACE IS LIMITED!

Youth Fitness Bootcamp

We are offering a program for 6-10 year olds to get up and MOVE. Molly is teaching this class to show kids fun ways to move their bodies that aren’t sport focused. Any child is welcome who wants to spend 45mins having fun and learning new skills.

**Parents, we have group ex classes at this time and our fitness facility is open. Drop your kids off at boot camp and go downstairs to get your own workout in!

Session Dates: July 26th - September 1st. 

Monday and Wednesday from 4:30p-5:15p

Fee: Member: $30     non-member $45
