River Valley Regional YMCA Eastern Lycoming Branch Receives Grant The Eastern Lycoming Branch of the River Valley Regional YMCA was recently named the recipient of the Waldron Memorial Fund at the First Community Foundation Partnership of PA. The funds, totaling $8,283.00, will be used to complete phase three of the Eastern Lycoming Branch YMCA improvement project. This phase will consist of replacing two front doors from the main entrance and installing handicap accessible doors in their place. River Valley Regional YMCA Partners with Special Olympics Pennsylvania Special Olympics Pennsylvania (SOPA) and the River Valley Regional YMCA announced increased fitness and training opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities. Effective March 1, 2020, the partnership will connect athletes with six YMCA facilities in Williamsport, Muncy, Jersey Shore, Lock Haven, Mansfield and Towanda. River Valley Regional YMCA Williamsport Branch Receives EITC Contribution from Susquehanna Community Bank The River Valley Regional YMCA recently received a $1,000 EITC contribution from Susquehanna Community Bank. The funds will be used to enhance and expand the current educational programming in the Williamsport Branch YMCA Summer Day Camp. The RVR YMCA is listed in the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) as a Pre-K Scholarship Organization and as an Educational Improvement Organization. Lock Haven YMCA To Merge with River Valley Regional, Names Directors The Lock Haven Area YMCA will merge with the River Valley Regional YMCA to become the Lock Haven Branch YMCA this summer. Effective July 1st, the two associations will become one and continue to work together to share and maximize resources while strengthening our community. The River Valley Regional YMCA which is made up of five branch locations throughout Tioga County, Bradford County and Lycoming County has provided leadership to the Lock Haven YMCA for the past two years. |
