So she decided to consult Rachel Bryant, the Y’s Wellness Director. “Rachel taught me the proper exercises and how to use weights to build up my core and legs. My last two years of work were much more enjoyable.”

Now that she’s retired, the Y has remained a habit. “It’s close to my house and has a variety of equipment. I also do the group exercise programs and the water exercise class.”

Like many people, Sue wants to get stronger, have better balance, and lose some weight. She recently completed the eight week “Commit to be Fit” Program. “I like the fact that people at the Y are non-judgmental and very family friendly. It’s a great place to work out.”
